Private Kimolos Boat Tour — Prassa, Skiadi & Sea Caves
Our home port — and the quiet, unhurried heart of the Western Cyclades, minutes from coves most travellers never reach.
The quiet Cyclades, on your own terms
There is a particular kind of quiet on Kimolos — the kind you only find on an island the crowds have not yet discovered. Just across a narrow channel from Milos, it remains one of the last unhurried corners of the Cyclades: white-chalk cliffs, mushroom-shaped volcanic rock, hot springs that bubble up through the sea, and coves the colour of glass.
It is also the perfect place to begin a day on the water. Kimolos sits at the centre of a small, extraordinary cruising ground, with uninhabited Polyaigos barely a nautical mile away. From the little port of Psathi, you are minutes from places most travellers never reach.
What you'll see by boat
Highlights of a Kimolos cruise
Some of the island's finest spots have no road to them. From the water, the coastline opens up in a way it simply cannot from land.
Goupa & Karas syrmata
Just north of Psathi, painted boathouses are carved straight into the rock at the waterline, their doors opening onto the sea — a quiet, photogenic first stop as you head out of port.
Gerakia sea cave
A cape with a cave you can swim or wade into, the water inside lit an impossible turquoise.Reachable only by boat
Mavrospilia & Soufi
A remote cove of dark sand and dramatic "White Rocks," with submerged ancient ruins to snorkel; and Soufi, a secluded golden-sand cove with no way in except by sea.Reachable only by boat
Skiadi
The island's protected mushroom rock, sculpted over millennia by the wind, standing watch over the southwest uplands as you cruise the coast below.
Prassa (Agios Georgios)
Fine white sand from the island's chalk and genuinely Caribbean-blue water; an easy, beautiful anchorage where warm water seeps up through the sand.
Therma & Agioklima hot springs
Volcanic hot springs warm the sea among distinctive yellow rocks — a slow, restorative soak few visitors ever find.
Why a private cruise from Kimolos
Small island, gift of a day
Kimolos is small, and that is its gift. In a single unhurried day you can string together hidden caves, hot-spring soaks, the island's best beaches and the channel crossing to Polyaigos — without ever feeling rushed or sharing a deck with strangers.
Because we are based here, we read the island and the wind the way only years on this water can teach. When the meltemi blows, we simply turn toward the sheltered southwest coves rather than cancel your day. The route bends to the conditions, and to you — where you want to swim, how long you want to linger, when you want lunch.
Inland, the Venetian kastro village of Chorio is a short transfer up from Psathi, should you want to round out the day ashore.
Ready when you are
Tell us what kind of day you have in mind, and we'll shape a private cruise around it — from Psathi, across the channel, and into the coves only a boat can reach.
