Private Milos Boat Tour to Kleftiko

The most beautiful parts of Milos can't be reached by road — Kleftiko, Sykia, Gerakas. You reach them by sea or not at all.

A volcanic coastline, best seen from the water

Milos is a volcanic island, and its volcano sculpted the coastline into something close to surreal: white cliffs riddled with sea caves, lunar rock that glows after sunset, hexagonal stone columns, and shores stained orange and red by minerals.

The catch is that the very best of it has no road. Kleftiko, Sykia Cave, Gerakas, the Glaronisia islets, the old sulphur mines — you reach them by sea or not at all. That single fact is why a boat day on Milos isn't an add-on to your trip. It's the trip.

We're based just across the water on Kimolos, and we run intimate, fully private cruises along the Milos coast and beyond it to Polyaigos. No fixed group, no fixed script — just your boat, your pace, and two seasoned skippers who know which coves are sheltered today. And where the caves are too tight for a yacht, our dinghy takes you in.

What you'll see from the water

Highlights of a Milos cruise

Kleftiko — the pirate sea caves

The centrepiece of almost every Milos cruise: brilliant white-and-grey cliffs rising from turquoise water, pierced with natural arches, swim-through tunnels and caves. A genuine former pirate hideout — and there has never been a road here. We drop anchor, and our dinghy takes you right inside the arches and caves to swim and snorkel where the bigger boats stay outside.Reachable only by boat

Sykia Cave

About three nautical miles from Kleftiko, a sea cave whose roof collapsed long ago into a natural skylight: sunlight pours straight onto a tiny hidden beach and electric-blue water inside. We take the dinghy in when wind and swell allow — a bonus, not a promise.Reachable only by boat · weather permitting

Sarakiniko — the lunar landscape

The most photographed place on Milos: smooth, blinding-white volcanic rock wind-carved into moon-like terrain that drops into deep blue. Arriving by sea, you see the cliffs from the water and swim off the boat away from the land crowds.

Glaronisia & Papafragas

Three islets of hexagonal basalt columns that look like a natural pipe-organ, and a fjord-like cliff inlet where crystal water funnels into a tiny cove beside old pirate caves. Classic stops on the north-coast route.

The painted fishing villages

Milos is famous for its syrmata — brightly painted boathouses carved into the rock at the waterline. Klima, Mandrakia and Firopotamos line the shore in red, blue and ochre, and we drift past rather than rushing by.

Gerakas, Tsigrado & quiet swims

Cliff-backed Gerakas (boat-only), an easy anchored swim at Tsigrado, Firiplaka's cliffs and the mineral-stained sulphur-mine coast — a shoreline that changes character every few minutes.

Why private, not a packed group boat

A different day entirely

  • It's only your group. No strangers onboard, ever. Your pace, your call on how long to linger at Kleftiko.
  • The route flexes to the weather. When the meltemi blows from the north, we run the sheltered south side — and the other way around. A fixed group schedule can't do that; we can.
  • We reach the quiet coves. A private yacht goes where the packed group boats don't bother — quiet anchorages and coves where you swim with almost no one else around.
  • Time to actually swim. No rushing back to keep a forty-person schedule. If the water at Gerakas is perfect, we stay.

Staying on Milos?

Come aboard — you don't have to be on Kimolos

Plenty of our guests stay on Milos and meet the boat for the day — a short hop across the channel. From the water you get Milos and Polyaigos and Kimolos in one trip, something most Milos-only tours never offer. Tell us where you're staying and we'll sort out where to meet.
